Late in 2009 CPF and IAFF Western Region Trustee Tony Mejia resigned his position as CPF Trustee leaving a vacancy and thus creating a Special Election by CPF to fill the position.  Local 3523 President Erik Baskin was nominated and ran for the vacated position.  The Special Election took place late in 2009 and Local 3523 is very proud to announce that President Baskin was elected to the position of CPF Trustee.  Local 3523 is very proud and thankful to all the members of CPF for their support on behalf of President Baskin.  President Baskin will make an excellent Trustee and Local 3523 is excited about this new position and opportunity being given to them.
